Tooth Cave Spider (Neoleptoneta = Leptoneta myopica)

Habitat The Tooth Cave Spider lives in the darkness of the 40x80 feet Tooth Caves in Jollyville Plateau, Texas. The caves are very humid, it can reach temperatures up to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Hurry and click here for more information about the habitat of the Tooth Cave Spider.

Reasons for Endangerment A major reason for extinction are the foreign species, the red ants. Red ants were not originally from the Tooth Caves so the Tooth Cave Spider has had a new species to compete with. Another reason is the paving of the Tooth Caves for residential expansion.
