Highland Oaks Safety
Drop-off and Pick-up procedures are in place
for the safety of all students. Drivers are asked to
cooperate with the drive-thru procedures by pulling forward
as far as possible and to always remain in their car.
Please
note the schedule and impact the work on Santa Anita will
have on pick up and drop off schedules for the next week.
The bus pick up and drop off areas will not change for this
upcoming week. We deeply appreciate our parents for taking
every caution driving near the school, including vigilance
to delay cell phone use until leaving the school zone area
to ensure attentive driving decisions for the safety of our
students.

Modernization
Update
(12-7-09)
The
week of January 11 will continue electrical work to
rooms 18-21 and the restrooms by room 21, window
installation will begin on Wednesday, painting will
be completed on Friday, plumbing work is already
completed; completion is tentatively expected to be
February 5. The Student Services Offices, Library
and Computer Lab will continue wood framing and
plumbing installation. The construction crews will
work the next three Saturdays to make up for the
days taken off during the Winter Break.

Trait of the Month
FAIRNESS
Our
character trait of Fairness continues through this month. A
simple definition of fairness is to be just, play by the
rules, take turns, and listen to others. People, who have a
sense of fairness, can make decisions based on facts rather
than favoritism or self interest; they make good leaders.
